Clinical Pilates

Clinical PilatesClinical Pilates is an ideal way to prevent and manage injuries through a stronger, more flexible body and increased postural awareness.

Clinical Pilates differs from other styles of Pilates as it has an increasingly large research base behind it. Clinical Pilates exercises focus on stabilizing the body without making it rigid. Pilates helps treat many different injuries, for example during the rehabilitation of lower or upper limb injuries. Each exercise program is individually prescribed to the patient in terms of their injury or condition, their posture and how their body moves.

Clinical Pilates is beneficial for all ages, male or female, and even those free of aches and pains! In particular it can help those who have back or neck pain, poor posture, headaches, are overweight, pre and post-natal women, teenagers with poor posture, the elderly and also sportspeople (injured or not).

Patients are individually assessed prior to beginning a Clinical Pilates program to ensure they are safe and that an appropriate program is prescribed.
